The Kumaon is designed by award-winning Sri Lankan architects Pradeep Kodikara, a disciple of Geoffrey Bawa, and his partner Jineshi Samaraweera, who have translated the ethos of tropical modernism into a unique mountain design.

The property offers ten luxury suites, a library, a sun lounge and a gourmet restaurant. All buildings are constructed and situated with sensitivity to their natural environment, allowing guests to feel immersed in nature.
Rotating walls of glass maximise and frame views of forests, terraces and mountain peaks. Nearly all elements of the construction are hand-made on site, with a particular emphasis on self-design and fabrication.
